No not in the SC yet. It would require a motor mount from the EB and we havent had a need for such a thing yet. Its possible though.

On my first ebuggy I was running 2200 kv on 6s and turning down the EPA to make it driveable. Burned up a couple Mamba monsters. One almost burned my buggy to the ground. Talked on the phone with one of the engineers at castle and he said turning the EPA down is no bueno. Puts too much stress on the esc since the fets are always switching and builds heat. Idk the technical details about it, but figured he knew more than me so I went to 4s and 100% EPA and never had another problem.

Shark on his SCT D8 Tekno conversion I beleived used the mech brake and really like it. who knows, maybe with how hot motors are going, could be a way to keep temps down on the motor and ESC if I recall correctly how well that mech brake helps in 1/8.

I'm gonna get the Tekno conversion kit for my SC8e and try out the mechanical brakes myself...I've been wanting to try it....I believe I would need to get the Elektri-Clutch to use with it, right teknorc?

I beleive if you use the long shankpinions, you can use the mechanical brakes as well.

You can use mechanical brakes with direct drive, traktion drive or elektri-clutch.

How does the Mechanical brakes work WITH direct drive?....Wouldn't you have to have a clutch spinning the motor shaft freely while the mechanical brakes stop the vehicle ? (like in Nitro Vehicles)....Direct drive would eliminate the use of mechanical brakes because the motor stops the drivetrain when the brakes are applied already...Am I missing something here?

You set the braking force to zero in your esc. That way you don't get any motor braking and rely completely on the mechanical setup.

OK, Kool....I never thought of that....but you would still need the Tekno chassis conversion I believe....the way AE sets up their E-vehicles, it eliminates the throttle/brake servo and puts the motor and motor mount in it's place....don't see where you can pull this off without converting...

I think you missed the change from 6s to 4s being what allowed for 100% throttle usage.
