The track was very tight. There was a another tekno there and it was on rails. So I asked him what he was running he said it was box stock. So I put the box stock setup on mine mines the springs and pistons change it didn't seem to change anything. It would push coming into the turn and fo wide coming out. If I did get it to turn it would over rotate. By the end of the night I was very frustrated. Ended up qualifying 3rd and taking 4th in the main.

Hmmm.... Sounds to me like your servo saver spring has hit the wall. I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again, put he Serpent "hard" spring on this thing. The symptoms you describe are exactly what I was experiencing when my spring gave up.

is the serpent spring a direct fit?

scte body direct fit or no?

Will my current scte bodies fit right onto this kit? Tekno website says it will just want to know if any current scte owners are using their same bodies?

Should mount right on, no problems. My son had an SCTE prior to the Tekno and his stock SCTE body mounted fine. :D

What wheels fit the aluminum hex? Also what is the difference between the two aluminum hexs made by tekno?

All scte wheels or 22sct wheels. The traxass hexes are +1 and the other set is the correct stock offset.

I personally run the tekno 17mm adapters and run the de racing 17mm sct wheels. With the power of today's motors I like the bigger hexes for added security.

You will have to dremel the inside diameter out a little. When you do this, don't get the spring too hot, or you'll change the rate. It is worth all the effort, trust me!
After installing it (a bit of a fight), tighten it so that it is 1-2mm above the threaded tube bottom.

Also SC10 wheels fit. I'm running the sct410 hexes and the +3mm sc10 wheels are a very tight fit in the tundra body. The traxxas hexes would be fine if you run SCTE wheels or sc10 standard offset. Even this will depend on what body you run. The tundra is narrower in back than others.

For the record I could NOT fit xxxsct wheels on here. The offset looks good, but the hex holes are too deep, causing the wheel to bind against the plastic hub. Also the extra thickness of the wheel center doesn't leave enough axle threads to get a locknut on all the way.

My servo saver spring works best cranked down tight and then red loctite applied!!!! :sneaky:

Double check which directon you have the opening of the spring cups facing. The opening of the spring cup should face the outside/away from the truck. It shows how they are supposed face in the instructions.

They are installed that way, but they seem to get very sloppy as they start to expand. They pop off towards the inside of the truck. Enough to get the spring out of wack enough to rub the shock body but not enough for the cup to jump completely off the shock end and get lost.
