this happened to me today, i cancelled and ordered from Amain this morning, mine shipped today. I think the y still show some in stock.

Got to run my first battery pack through the truck tonight...

4/10ths faster with the kit setup on a fresh dusty track than I was with my Associated SC10 4x4 which has 2 years worth of tuning done on it in perfect conditions...:D Missed the 4x4 SC lap record on this layout by less than 0.074 of a sec...truck might be a keeper...

I punted some Slash 4x4 that was putzing down the straightaway, I was WFO at the time...he ended up in our pit area 20' away :nod::o

@Tekno how durable are the air guards? Is it thicker than the body lexan?

Haven't broken any, but it's conceivable that they can break obviously. They are 1mm thick.

Hmm since its out of stock I was thinking just pick up something thicker or so from tap plastics and cut it and try out.

Am going to try a flat piece of thin Rubbermaid plastic. That should be flexible enough to last just about forever.

So is the rubbing of the inside wheel the magic behind the instant 180's?

I was thinking about a conversion from EB48 to SCT410,
right is what I though I need to change,
left is what I actually need to change (maybe more like center outdrive+center shaft)

Aren't all the axles/CVD different length than eb48?

question for you guys, Got my kit in, working on the build.

Now, for the whole shimming addendum with the 5 shims, I am assuming they are the same as that 1 shim that goes on the differential pinion gear. If thats the case, then basically I can find a 1mm thick shim to take up the space? How important are the other dimensions as far as not binding up the bearing, etc.

Also, how necessary are the shims? If I justmake sure the set screw goes into the recessed area, will that be sufficient or does the actual cup shaft need the support?

i really cant answer your question but i think if you just put on recess area there would be to much in and out play thru bearing. i assume the washers are there to take up that space. grinding out wasnt very hard at all if u got a dremel handy. good luck and remember that damn button head on steering linkage if you run into a clearence issue lol

Can't wait to hear your opinion on the truck Cain.
