Right now, I have the option of throwing the EB48 chassis on there and maybe changing her diff to match mine at 7-7-3 versus 2K in the rear its set to now, however, I am going to 3K since I have the BCE chassis to install and will have the 1.5+ hingepin brace too for more toe if needed.

since her last time driving it the setup worked well for traction, etc. curious if I should just leave it go, though this is a much bigger track.

or, will the EB48 chassis offer more flex than the stock chassis?

I considered getting the EB48 chassis but really liked the additional weight , lower weight on the truck from the stock chassis. I usually race at medium to low traction outdoor tracks so I couldn't justify the upgrade. I am using some lightened parts like the aluminum center drive shaft, FR, CTR & rear diff out drives , titanium turnbuckles, etc. as weight saving measures. When my daughter driven this truck she just wants to stay in the center, outta of the loose dirt so she can hit the jumps..LoL

I would run the EB48 chassis. Ive tried the stock 410, eb48 and BCE chassis. The truck just got better with the EB48 and BCE chassis and the BCE chassis worked better than the EB48.. I believe the weight loss and flex is what made it better. I only ran the front brace on the EB48 and ran Front and rear on the BCE.

Did you use the BCE or Eb48 chassis at an indoor or outdoor track? Was it a high bite traction surface?

BTW..Nice sign

yeah I am debating the flex of the EB48 chassis versus weight to traction on loose surface.

I also could just put the 1.5+ hingepin brace on her truck too and see how that goes.

I recently installed the EB48 chassis. I also installed a couple of other option parts as well so it is hard to say what made the biggest difference. I installed the chassis, air guards, alu option parts, and Fioroni pistons (one previous race) and the truck is great. The outdoor tracks I run on tend to get very loose. It is hot here and the clay gets dusty quickly. I am not good enough to really tell the difference between things like the chassis, but my truck is handling very well now. I had a really bad nose down problem that has disappeared. I have very good control in the air and can now try to really drive the truck instead of worrying about how to control it on the run up to jumps, and in the air. I have no experience with a BCE but I think the EB48 chassis and air guards have really helped my truck.

I went out of town today to a small indoor high bite tacky clay track and couldn't make a 5 minute qualifier I assume it was shutting off for high temp the esc and motor was reading 150-160 after shut down it was dieing consistently around 4 minutes . I dropped to a 14tooth pinion for the 8 minute main and it made it around 7 minutes so better . Any suggestions on gearing or anyone having similar temp issues ?

Sounds like you have something else going on there. I run the RX8 2, 4300HD indoors and at 35% current limit and clip on heatsink on a hot day it runs about 160-170 and easily makes 10min on 7200 70 c SMC packs. I'm also running an 18t pinion.

Yea I don't know what was going on . Didn't make sense I'm going to try to figure it out this week .

teknorc: can you guys add to the list of setups what the setup out there is for condition wise for all the EB48 and SCT410 setups?

Going to try slightly lighter oil weight with my daughters SCT410 with the kyosho 8 x 1.3s, 32.5 W front and 27.5W Losi rear.

Who's running the Trinity 4850 4 pole? What pinion and Temps are you seeing?

I'm using a 14T and the temp has ranged from 140's to 160's depending on the temps outside it seems. It was in the 90's a couple weeks ago.

We got these in at the LHS and they promptly sold out to new 4wd sc drivers. :)
Nice job Tekno, making stuff we can all believe in, it shows to the others.
