I run more dampening with softer springs. Running Tekno green F&R. Tekno pistons 8x1.3 w/37.5 front and 8x1.4 w/35 rear.
I would think your ride would be more "springy or bouncy" than how I run it.

If you look at the chart where your kyosho springs are compared to what I run and top that off with less dampening, I would think over sprung.
That's one part of the puzzle that can effect how it reacts off the face of a jump and also traction.

Then there's how you have adjusted camber, roll center and all of that good stuff... maybe if you post your setup or run a known setup and check back with any remaining issues it would be easier for members to advise.

WOW!! I see what you mean when spring rates are compared. I'm basically running all spring and hardly any dampening!

I'm going to give Egobrkr's setup a shot. I've read that a couple people have seen great results from it. His setup is for a very similar type track that I run on. Ego's been helping me out with it! A super nice guy and willing to help newb!!!

Thanks for your help, it's greatly appreciated!!!

What springs & oil your running may very well match up to other setup sheets, but shock mount locations can make a difference in how the spring rate and dampening affect handling so again, many pieces of the puzzle.

Your on the right track, run a setup that you can post or is accessible to people and once you've run it for a day or two to see if it leaves you wanting anything & post back. You may not be buying the pistons that egobrkr is running before you drive again so that part may be off but set the suspension up per the sheet and play with oil weights at the track with the pistons that you have to work with. Spring choice seems to be in a range for the majority but there are some that like rates that are way stiffer or softer than say the Tekno greens. If there is anyone at your track that runs Tekno, see if they will let you throw their springs on for a few laps if they run a softer spring than what your running. A good way to try before you buy.

Hell, maybe they will let you put their shocks on so you can try their spring, piston and oil combo. Only takes a couple minutes to R&R the shocks.

Rear traction issue, are you running a rear brace? If not then go ahead and put it back in and try it out, a lot of guys I know put the rear one back on for this reason.

From reading other posts, I always thought having the center and rear braces on helped in reducing rear traction?

I was only running the front one and was having a heck of a time breaking loose in corners or even turns and I went through a bunch of different things but when I put the rear brace back in it took that problem completely away, I no longer am spinning out and now can really stay on it when turning. Everyone's different but for me it took away some of the excess flex.

Also had a buddy that was super loose on race night and that fixed his as well, so it seems to work.

They work great at both tracks that I run Ions on. The AKA foams are much better than Proline blues and will choose slingshots > ions when I can.

I used to run them but since I switched chassis to the BCE T1 I have not ran them, I really cant tell the difference in having them or not so I wouldnt get them if you dont have them. If you have them well then run them.

Pm me your email and I will send it.

ChuckTee what's been the biggest difference in drivability with the BCE Chassis that you've noticed?

XRated SCT 11-23-2013 02:48 PM

Was reading through recent post and ran my truck front brace only, rear would get loose in some situations, put the rear brace on(as suggested above) and it definitely settled the rear
