Tekno SCT410 Thread
As far as the subject of bodies, it took me a little while to warm up to it but I really like the long low look of the JConcepts Ford F250 super duty body. Went through a full practice session and it held up beautifully, and I mean about 6-10 guys on the track running balls out, lots of rubbing and wrecking still looks good.
^^^^^Totally agree^^^^^^ also I love VRC magazine great deal for the content

For me, how I take 180s depends on track surface. This truck has TONS of steering, even without breaking loose.
On high bite, I slow down as I get to the corner, let off and give some throttle through it, then roll back onto the throttle as I come out. This maintains speed, doesn't usually break traction, and is really consistent.
On slightly more loose surfaces, I'll brake harder and later while flicking the wheels to start the truck sliding, and then feather throttle and adjust steering to control the slide the rest of the way, ending in me coming out straight and able to give it a blip to lock the rear down with weight transfer again.
On really loose surfaces, I tend to swing wide and try to maintain more speed through the corner (sometimes drifting) to make it easier to come out of the corner and into the next feature the way I want to, though with my eBuggy I tend to do more of a combo of the first two when it is really loose.
I don't claim those are the best or most efficient ways to do it (I'm certainly not a world caliber driver), but that's how I've found seems to work best for me at the moment with the tracks I've had available and my various setups. Also note that if you're used to 2wd driving, you probably already do the first one without much thought, even in looser settings, to make it easier to control.

so i have had my truck fora very long time. i picked it up almost right after it came out. My rear drive cup for the center rear driveshaft just snapped into two pieces while i was putting it on. almost as if it was made of super brittle plastic. i am debating to call tekno and ask about it. i realize it has been a long time since i bought the kit but i think something may have been off with my piece (like a bad egg kind of thing). I know teknorc is on this form so maybe they can answer. Is there any way i can get a replacement or should i just buy a new one. And i am in no way faulting the truck. It is a tank. And i guess if it was a bad egg it would have failed sooner but i did not overtighten it and it snapped clear in half. i will post a pic of it if requested

@ justpoet,
howz things? Just wondering if you've had time to get that med bite setup sheet together? Thanx for the driving tips too, seems like a topic that isn't talked about much.
