I ended up using a hair dryer and warming up the tape enough so it would come off. I got it loose, but it made a mess with all that warm glue from the tape.
Now, I just cut about 1/4" to 3/8" wide strips and go along the outside edges of the esc. I've never had one fall off!
Just make sure you're cleaning the bottom of the esc, and whatever you're sticking the esc to, very well. I use either rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol to clean the bottom of the esc and esc tray.

I use a big flat head screw driver and wedge it in then twist to pop it loose, then can normally scrap most of the tape off using the same tool. However not sure i'm using the same extreme formula now. I lost the packaging ages ago.

No that's tears of a baby bunny that were banned! Unicorn blood is ROAR legal. It's also proven to shave 1.5s off your lap times!

Using Pegasus blood is completely legal.

WOW that escalated quickly lol!

For anyone looking to shave some weight with aluminum screws, check out Fastener Express...They have regular and anodized selections in just about every size you would need...Anodized colors are blue, purple, red, and black for that stealth factory steel look...

To be honest idk how this thread has so many pages the truck is so well designed and executed that there's nothing to talk about lol. It never breaks or wears out or needs a bunch of parts to make it competitive. Anyways great job tekno on a great truck

Anyone have a good set up for a small tight indoor dirt track we use ss barcodes.im running the stock set up right now and I can not get the truck to rotate in the turns.my diff fluid is 10/7/5

You can also try raising the link position on the rear tower. I commonly did this to prevent traction rolling in high traction (carpet) with a variety of vehicles and it also gave me more rotation. When I needed more traction lowered the link.

Also, you could try a different setting on your toe-in block. I liked 3.5 for indoor carpet.

haha again a testament to the culture we have built in the Tekno threads. theres so many pages because people aren't afraid to ask questions and talk about something "off topic" once in a while without people reporting you to a moderator. SPeaking of, anyone been by the TLR 22 2.0 thread recently? some crazy shit

We are repetitive. Not much to talk about so its body, battery mod, carbon towers, oils, pistons, then repeat. edit: forgot camber links

The Tekno threads are just friendly. I occasionally peek back into the SC10 4x4 thread. I know some of you participate in there. wow.

I hope more 1/10 rides come sooner than later.

Agree 100%... I love my SCT410!

Cain 10-09-2013 08:42 AM

I think this thread is special in the sense that people take an honest assessment of the vehicle and provide that feedback without someone going cheerleader about the SCT410 and ignoring any potential issues found. The manufacturer also checks in and takes that advice to heart and runs with it. I love that about Tekno and its why when it came time to start my daughter in RC, I chose another SCT410 to go with for her.

Figure, might as well start her with quality :)

+100 on the awsome thread with good people! Not much to talk about except "this truck is sweet" and "thanx tekno!" Oh and the occasional fairy tale creatures of course. Headin out in a few for another day of loving my truck. Racing at coyote hobbies tonite if anyone's in the victorville area today. Peace all

I agree and would love to see some more 1/10 rides i am trying my best to hold out on getting into 1/8 just dont want to start all over and have to get new everything, if money was not an object i guess no problem but thats not the case.

Also when was the last time anyone has "broke" anything on their sct410? Me personally would be never, in almost 3 months of running 2x a week aand a race night. Lucky tuning really affects the way it drives and there is lots of stuff to tune.

yes I did, but they are not the correct ones. I just wanted to see if they made a difference. I should have stated that. I think I know the problem though. I almost hate to say it too. Lol. I think I put the black o rings limiters that go on the shock shaft in instead of the plastic spacers. I'll check it out tonight after work. I was working on a bunch of cars and had parts everywhere. Think I found the spacers. doh!

Lol, I think I know who you are referring too :) I won't name names but since Tekno is not AE he would never see this thread anyway.
