I know the b44.3 diff drops in. But do I need the b44.3 input pinion? I'm assuming so since it's going from plastic to metal. Is there anything else I need? Thanks.

You don't have to buy anything other than the full Schelle Kit. It comes with the main chassis, top decks ( both) battery hold down, chassis protector and hardware. Everything else you already own. Its a true conversion kit. Not one where you have to pick and choose and pull pieces from here or there. It also allows you to run what ever configuration you want. Motor in front dhort, motor in back shorty, saddles, and servo on either side.

I have since put the gear diffs in mine and it has really woken the car up. Went from mid pack/ back marker to top 4 almost every weekend. Myabe Im just getting used to the car and how to drive it
The 44.1 to 44.2 shorty requires plastic 44.2 battery trays, 44.2 center slipper (and front 44 crush tubes for added length), 44.2 center cap, rear center 44.2 bone.

You will need the pinions and stub shafts along with the gear diffs. Bearings, E-clips and spacers are reused unless you want to replace them while you are there ( I did). If you don't have the updated diff cases, you may also have to grind out the nub for a little more clearance as well...

Ok thanks, it's a brand new buggy I just suck at building ball diffs. What diffcases are the updated ones. Was it a rolling change or you talking about the .3 ones thanks again.

It's a running change. The older cases had a molded pin to locate the ball diffs correctly. All you need to do is cut and grind down this pin. Otherwise the cases are exactly the same.

You will know when you go to flip the diff gears if you run shorty. Like Jmuck said, its an easy job.

Ok I have another question regarding the front wheels. I ordered the 12mm front hexes thinking 12mm wheels would be easy to find in 2.2 size. I'm only finding the jcon inverse wheel. It kind of seems strange having a 2 piece wheel. What other wheels if any fit? Should I just stay with the 9.5/10mm front setup?

Default B5 ball stud/ball cup conversion

I converted mine to B5 ball cups and studs except for the steering turnbuckles. What nut are you guys using in the steering knuckle for the ball stud to thread into? I'm having trouble finding one that works.
