Great, I will take the shock apart tonight and let you know if it fixes it!

Sorry I missed the part about while it is on the stand. I thought you meant while driving it. Thats more likely a cva binding or bearing issue.

You will need to replace your spindles and caster blocks. The spindles have a small nub that sticks out that is designed to hit the caster block at full lock. The nub on the spindle and also the caster block itself wears over time and then allows the spindle to rotate further than what it was designed to. Because of the shape of the spindle this means that it can stick once it is forced past the intended steering lock point.

If your B44.2 is brand new, I think you are having a servo end point adjustment (EPA) issue -- not using your radio settings properly.

From what I see, when you turn the wheels, you are not getting anywhere near full steering throw from your servo. So when you push the steering manually to where it hits the caster block, you are moving the steering turnbuckle past the total steering EPA you have allowed via your radio settings.

I'm not familiar with Spektrum radios, but if you can find the EPA setting for steering, and adjust that to a point where the steering spindle/knuckle just hits the caster block, it should work out better for you.

You for sure need to turn your steering EPA up. Problem will be gone. Turn it up till the inside wheel hits the stop on the caster block!!!!

Are they coming out with a new one before I buy the b44.2?

iThinman 04-22-2014 07:06 PM

been playing with the epa (travel on spectrum) and I did have it turned way down from trying to troubleshoot, but if I turn it up to where it should be, the problem is worse.

i'll make another video in a bit.

thanks!

ATTN GEAR DIFF OWNERS

i have a question. i have had my gear diff for about 4-5 races and every time i run at least once or twice a race my front driveshaft pops out? and i cannot shim the shaft any more? Is this a common problem with the gear diff? If not what else can i do to put the driveshaft into the outdrive more? the gear diff is shimmed good. Is it time for new driveshafts? I was thinking about using a t4 cva since it is longer?

thoughts????? :sweat::(:sweat::(:confused::confused::confused::c onfused::confused:

Pro10noob 04-24-2014 09:35 PM

Drive shaft pops out hen car is airborne or maxed out on the shocks??
If so shorten them a little bit so the shaft won't get out of the out drive at max shock lenght is what i am told

Regards Roy

Make sure the shock rod end is tightened all the way, and you have the proper number of limiters in the shock. The rod ends will need to be turned past tight to be completely on.

LOSI123 04-25-2014 03:24 AM

in standard kit form does anyone know what total degrees of caster the front end has?

In all these years I have never found the answer to that Q. Its been asked and I have never heard a definite answer? But I would guess 30 degree's. The kit has a lot of steering so its possible 25/20. If you ever find out be sure and post up the answer.
