Default RC lubricant?

I'm wondering what type of lubricant to use on my rc's. I'm very meticulous about cleaning them after each use. I try to dry them as best as possible using a little pancake air compressor and finish by spraying the metal/moving parts with wd40. I know that's really not adequate as a lubricant, I'm even hearing a little squeaking from time to time. Is there any specific type of lubricant you guys use on your rc's?

CowRC makes some good degreaser and lubricant. My buddy uses Kal-Gard as well..

I use the reedy motor spray for the initial cleaning of the parts that have grime and grease then spray alittle 30-30 ( a dry lube) from kal-guard to make all the parts free and smooth. On parts like the chassis and arms and what not a little wd40 and rag will do the trick

The 30-30 works better than wd40? Not doubting you as I have no experience with the stuff but reading the description of it, it sounds like it's a water displacing rust inhibitor. It lubricates well though?

i use any DRY teflon lubricant...comes in a bottle as a liquid but dries like a dry wax lube...odonnell makes some that seems like a rebranded bottle of "dupont teflon multi-use dry, wax lubricant" stays clean - no oily film...i think i paid $5 at ace for a few years supply lol....to clean the rc i use a toothbrush and air after each use for big crap and i break it completely down every so often and clean every part with soap and water just before new seals/grease/oil/fluids

The wd40 will work well just i perfer the 30-30 because it does leave a dry and well lubricated coating on metal parts. I use it for all my motorcycles and works well. Its like wd40 but does have a lubricating characterist to it. It wont leave a sticky and dirty mess to since its so light.
