Exclamation TLR 22 Vs B4.1 And Kyosho Lazer, Losi 8ight Vs RC8BE

Hello Everyone at the RC Tech Forums! I just had a few questions concerning the TLR 22, b4.1, Kyosho Lazer, the Losi 8ight and the RC8BE.

Currently, I cannot decide between the Losi 8ight and the RC8BE. I want to get either one of these as well as the Lazer, B4.1, or the TLR 22. So, in all, I will end up with two cars. If you have any of these cars please share some pro's and cons with the following categories:

-Durability
-Runtime
-Price
-Bashing
-Easy to work with technical-wise
-Handling
-Weight differential
-Any other features, etc.

So far, I'm wanting to go with the RC8BE and the 22.

It sounds like you want to do more bashing than racing. I would also try to stick to one brand. Like get the AE RC8Be and the B4.1 or the Losi Eight and 22. I would also suggest if you go with the RC8 that you get the .2. It is much improved over the old buggy. I have the RC8.2e:
-It is a durable buggy but parts tend to wear kinda fast compared to some of the other kits.
-Runtime varies depending on battery/motor/ESC/driving.
-The RC8 is easy to work on in my opinion. However all cars have a learning curve.
-The handling on the RC8.2 is aggressive. It can be tames though.
-I would suggest looking at the threads for each of the cars you are considering to see mods and problem areas.

I own a Losi 8ight and used to own an RC8Be. I raced both of them. I like the 8ight much better. It's more durable and forgiving. I hear the RC8.2Be is much better, but I have not driven one yet.

-Durability = 8ight
-Price = RC8BE
-Bashing = 8ight
-Easy to work with... = 8ight
-Handling = RC8Be(aggressive/twitchy) 8ight(stable/forgiving)
-Weight differential = RC8Be
- RC8Be has more adjustments, 8ight needs few upgrades

The deal breaker for me with the RC8Be was the weak CVA's. It seemed like every 3rd or 4th practice/race day I was bending one or more of them. It was beyond annoying. Those things are not cheap to replace. If you ignore it, you will see a lot of vibration coming from it. Not a big deal if you are bashing, but horrible if you are racing.

Yes, bashing would be more of a priority, for sure. I don't have any tracks down here, only one that I know of. But occasionally I guess taking it for a spin would be nice.

Would you say the higher price for the Losi 8IGHT is worth it? It's about $600, which is $200 more than the RC8BE. How much is the .2? And would you say it's worth it? Lol.

Also, is there really any difference between the .2 and 8ight?

Thank you for your reply, btw. I'll be sure to do that, too.

Thank you, Blade. That definitely knocked the RC8Be off my list.

Just researched RC8.2e. Ink I'm gunna go with it Now, as for the Lazer, B4.1, and 22. I'm going to go with what Racer said and just stick with one brand, so B4 I guess.

Thanks guys
