My car is terrible at bump handling. It was super dialed before when the track was always smooth and high grip. I took 3 months off from racing. I get back and now the track is super bumpy medium grip and I'm being told it is consistently running that way. I didn't have a lot of time to tune it but it was super frustrating. I'm wondering if Rear Motor might be better for these conditions? Some places I would hit a bump at high speed and the car would front flip lol.

We travel each weekend to different tracks and therefore we come across all track conditions all the time. At where Nationals is held this year, Space Coast RC, the track has been VERY bumpy. We have almost every piston that you can get your hands on and we are always trying them out. At this track, we found that 2 X 1.7 in the rear with White Springs and 27.5 Losi oil and then 2 X 1.6 in the front with 32.5 Losi Oil was the ticket. get your hands on some of these and try them out. We get all our pistons from Schelle Racing. Just an idea for you...

Thanks for the tip. What kind of droop are you running with this shock package?

And I assume you are using this shock setup with Mid Motor?

Yes, we only run the RB6 in Mid Motor. I think, however I would have to confirm, that we have the medium shock ends on the front and long on the rear.

White on the rear. Almost all of us went to this shock package with the only exception of some liking the pink on the front however I went to the white springs all the way around.

Anyone have a new standard chassis with the new holes they don't want? I'm looking to buy one but I want the new one with the extra mounting holes.

That's sounds like an idea as I would like to try some 2x1.7 so how well do they fit do they need shimming or are the spot on?

I have tried 2 hole pistons a few times and never can get the car to act like I want it to. I've pretty well settled on kit pistons, with white front and gold rear springs. Medium front and long rear on shock ends. I also like the car with 24/24 on ride height. O and 35/30 shock oil but if the track is high bite I normally go up on front shock oil, Just to keep the car from rolling over so hard in the center of the corners I've been as high as 45.

I have for the first time tried the 2x1.6 after using the 4x1.3 and really liking how the 4x1.3 felt.
I want to give it more of a go first to settle into the car but my initial thoughts were the rear end wasn't happy.

So after this current trend of posts I am thinking maybe 2x1.7 is worth a shot in the rear end

I'm running mid motor was running pink springs front gold rear 30wt front and rear with 1.6 2 hole in the front 1.7 2 hole rear with the esc right in front of the motor and shorty battery I'm having trouble with the rear of the car getting loose and jumping sideways mid out of corners and on hard acceleration be for jumps thinking of putting esc in front of battery and moving battery all the way back against motor thoughts anyone?

I run shorty up against the motor with a very thin foam between the battery and the motor. I put the speedo in front of the battery and my receiver on top of my servo. I run 3x1.4/white spring/30wt oil front and 4x1.3 rear/white spring/27.5 oil rear. Stock rear arms. My car feels great on low-medium/medium tracks

I also run "C in" on the rear hangers.

Did you try running the diff tighter? Not sure it's a weight issue if it's spinning during acceleration.

No I did not try running the diff tighter but I did loosen it some and it didn't seem any worse being loosened but I always seem to have to much steering so moving the battery back may help that also
