The RB6 doesn't have some magical advantage when you strap a 17.5 in, as apposed to a 10.5 or faster. It's still the same car with the same advantages, and the b4.2 is still the same car with IT'S same advantages as well.

They are just two different cars, with different sets of pros and cons.

It basically adds more weight to the rear, so if you want less weight (traction) run the shorty.

when I was wiring up my electronics I noticed that most of my sensor wires were too long or were bad. How long of a sensor wire are you guys using? 150 or 200?

I'm using the 175 from TQ

http://www.tqracing.com/sensor.htm

It depends on where you mount the speedo, what speedo and what motor, they can all change the length required by a good bit.

I have the same problem, identifying colors on Kyosho springs. Especially after they have some run time on them, the paint starts to chip away until gone. What I did was get some color heat shrink tubing and now slide a small piece on and use a heat gun. Kind of like Avid does with their springs.

Funny thing is I couldn't find pink shrink tube so I used baby blue for pink and I use green for gold. What a stir that caused at the track. I got questions from "did kyosho come out with new springs" to "did you have custom springs made". Anyway I enjoy watching them squirm for about an hour til I let the cat out of the bag.

The best one I have seen was a one of our sponsored drivers (who is a good guy and spends countless hours helping the rest of us out) brought a bottle of tire sauce in an unmarked bottle with tape all around it like he was hiding the brand of what he was using. At the end of the night he drank the remaining portion, it was just water to clean tires.

That tire juice story is funny, I love it. Gotta do that. When I was racing hardcore I took off the factory spring colors and repainted them different colors, everybody thought I had the most bizarre setups ever.

Tebo hasn't provided his RB5 axle spacing in a while with his setups. Does anyone know what it is or the best starting position for the RB5 axle and hex? Thanks.

Where did you find the heat shrink. What size?

I'm going to place an order for some spares shortly. Any suggestions on what I should stock up on? Also which springs are the common ones for tuning. I see most setups are pink front and white / gold rears. I will be running outdoors for now on low bite surface.

Low bite? I would start pink-F/gold-R for springs. Alu steering rack is a good idea as they are a tad weak in the plastic kit form... same with the rear suspension hangers (see post #1), and a spare rear upper bulkhead is desirable if you don''t have the exotek alu version. Other then that, the car seems pretty bullet proof. I have yet to break a part on this car.

Have said THAT, I do carry all 4 arms, turnblocks and caster blocks for the car in my pit bag, and haven't needed any of them yet and iv been running the car since the day it came out.
