Has anyone else bent more than their share of the metal brace in front? I know I need to quit hitting stuff but just normal race rubbing bends these things. I'm not gonna lie I'm getting tired of replacing em......

Yes, never had a problem on the rb5 but these seems to get beaten up more easy me and my racebuddy have noticed that too.

The only 2 rb6's at our track have bent the front brace as well. Exotek----> new front brace???

They bend back pretty easy, but thats not the point.

I read that the STRC brace doesn't bend but, that would lead to some other weak spot breaking. The consensus on the RB5 thread was to keep using the k brace. I'm using the STRC brace and haven't had any problems. Only thing I keep breaking is a steering knuckle.

well you are correct, I had the wrong spacers. The spacers I needed were in the slipper bag. So all is well now lol. Almost done the build now, just have to build the rear shocks and mount the electronics. Now does kyosho make aluminum collars instead of all the plastic ones?

Yes kyosho makes all those shims but they are pricey. I guess i gotta say it. Im running the losi shims. I feel disgusting. Dam it

What do you guys think exotek could do to strengthen that hinge pin link. I been thinkin of making that. Whick i did for the sc so it actually bolted to the bulhead so i wouldnt keep loosing it but i ran that on a buggy and it bent. I guess its just a materials issue and maybe i could make it a little bigger. Hmmmm

Bending the front brace is trivial anything harder will probably send the impact to the arms or bulkhead. Pick your poison....

Exotek:
A carbon brace would be good, wouldn't bend.

Bent better than broken? In a pinch you can bend it back.

Question......How does using the short, medium and long shock ends affect the handling of the car? I'm assuming it would be like limiting the shocks but correct me if I am wrong.

I guess what I was getting at was that it's made to bend because a bent hinge pin is better than the alternative. So they say. I just add that strc part just sayin I've never had a problem with it.

Hmmm, Also a ExoTek Alu. Vented MotorPlate would be awesome too as a alternative to the Kyo and STRC
