You will need the center CVD's.

And screws and nuts to lift the battery tray over the chassis. It sits about 1/4" high.

Minus well download the E808 instructions so you can get the idea of all the parts needed for the 808E radio tray/box. Or just add whatever Rx box you want.

You need two sets of the battery backstops. And you can only use standards size 4s1p hardcase batteries. I run the Turnigy 30-40c 4500 hardcase packs.

You could also just use an Elite RC mount and a RC Monster tray and not have to buy any of that stuff. It'll have a similar layout to the Mugen E buggy that way. I do prefer the 808E layout though.

I also recommend the XB9 shocks, rear arms, rear tower, and rear hingepin holders(which you might allready have, I've got '09 and '10 xrays). If your track(s) do not have huge jumps, skip all the XB9 stuff.

I was looking at the RC monster one, Id have to use 4S packs and not dual packs of which I have several?

Plus I didnt see a receiver tray in the RC monster setup.

My track has several huge jumps, so might just get a XB9 lol, or wait for a xb9e.

You can use dual packs, use the losi eight battery tray. You don't really need a reciever box. You can use one from a different car if you want. You can buy a used 2011 xb808
For a few hundred bucks. Xb9 a lot more.

So when I order the RC Monster kit, I should get a Losi Battery tray also?

Will a random receiver box fit from any car? Ive got an old kyosho, and also the 808's box. Just not sure about where or how it will fit.

I just dont see myself wanting/liking/loving wrenching on a nitro more then racing it.

Losi battery tray + two holes drilled in the chassis + Elite RC motor mount + cutting the stock servo tray = completed 2011 ebuggy.

The 808E uses completely different drive line, chassis etc. Almost none of the parts can be used on the 2011 converted buggy.

I have one for sale if you want to see what the end result looks like.

We just mounted the receiver either on top of the steering servo, or just behind it on the plastic chassis guard. Never had any issues.

So just double sided taped it there? Its light enough wouldnt cause any problems.

I just worry about having the reciever exposed to all the dirt, rocks, hard objects I bring my buggy into contact with

I was actually looking at buying your roller and using my nitro as a parts car.

You got a PM btw

Yup, we just made sure we cleaned the spot with something like nitro clean, use a good high quality double sided tape, and use small zipties to make sure all the servo / speed control wires are neatly held together / away from the pinion and spur gear. We never had any issues and there was a bunch of us all running converted 2011 808s.

I put a Slash radio box on top of my center diff. Used the two unused screw holes.

I mounted a slash RX box on top of my servo.
