All kidding aside the Losi is a great truck just long as you do not mind its non metric tooling, best parts support and lots of fast guys driving them so easy to find setup information for your track conditions.

But I still love my DESC and would not trade it for any other SC on the market.

Losi SCTE. Its great on outdoor tracks. Socks up the bumps and turns on a dime. I run mine very hard and haven't broken anything on it yet. You will like it and most hobby shops carry parts for it Incase you do break something. I think the sc10 4x4 is more indoor tracks, a lot of people with the sc10 bought the scte once they started running outdoors. Don't know much about the Durango. I recently bought the dnx408t and build quality is second to none. I think any of them would be good, but if I were starting with something new I would still buy another scte because it handles good, holds up to hard hits, and parts support. This is just my opinion.

@Dano - Stiff wind? Is that what Losi guys call that smell coming off their trucks? Odd, i always thought it was the smell of motors burning up as they haul that twelve pound bucket of bolts around.

That's very long, what kind of track do you run?
These are some of the tracks where Durango guys had trouble (don't know exactly what kind of packs they used, capacity was somewhere between 5000-5300mAh)

@dtr - My local track is a fairly small indoor clay track, the one at Amainhobbies in Chico, but we race eight minute mains and i not only make the run time with ease but i can drive many laps after the race without hitting the lipo cut off.

I do have a fairly mellow setup though, Tekin 4000 with a RX8 that is toned down for the smaller track and while i have no problem turning fast laps i am not the kind of driver who over drives his car and wastes his tires, motor and battery life with loads of wheel spin.

But ten minute mains would never be a problem no matter how i drove or setup my speed control with my Orion 5500 packs.

Thanks Sleepytime, so runtime is way more track dependent than I had thought (and throttle finger is also no to be forgotten )

If you want a 12 pound bucket of bolts that is as tough as an 1/8th scale with a ROAR national SC 4X4 title get the Losi SCTE. If you want a super agile F-1 SC 4X4 with no major titles get the Dingo. It's all in what you want.

I think with either truck a person could be happy, it is nice having options.
