I like everything else they have put out thus far for the sc10 except the collars. I think threaded collars would have been alot nicer. Im glad I got the GHEA collars and didnt wait for these.

Question for anyone running a Castle Creations 10amp BEC with a Savox Servo and a Spektrum RX?

What voltage did you set the BEC too?

Default is 5.1v and I know the servo can take 6.0 volts... but when can the RX take>?

vfrninja 05-31-2012 04:50 PM

6v is the norm. Any higher and it'll shorten the life span of your servo.

What weight oil are you guys running in your gear diff for a medium traction track? Those of you that are running gear diffs now anyway.

SOuthernFRIED 05-31-2012 08:56 PM

I'm running 5000 and I like it. My home track is outdoor, medium traction.

Hey guys I would like to know how well do the avid bearings hold up and perform compared to let's say the acers? I had some acers n my 22 a whileback and they were great, matter of fact the guy I sold my car to is still running them and he bought the car bout 5 or 6 months ago

My current Avids are going on 10 months old now. I clean em after every other weekend though.

Protection Against Tyre Rub

So what does everyone use to protec there sexy paint jobs from tyres Rub?

Ordered an RS yesterday. Debated between that and a XXX-SCT, but Tower's $50 discount and the RS's brushless motor pushed me over the edge. I hope it's not sacrilege, but I'm still thinking of getting an SCT roller, just cuz it's so cheap.
Are these cars still SAE, or all they metric now?

Combination of both for the SC10 its a PITA.

I put a little piece of duct tape in my wheel wells.

I use some of that aluminum foil heat duct tape, it's very thin, very durable and doesn't grab the tires. You can get it at most hardware stores. I don't have enough posts to give you a link but if you google "aluminum foil tape" you will see what I use.
