sorry, basic question, but I need some help: got an sc10. Replaced my ball diff. I'm almost positive I set it correctly (holding 1 tire & spur and not able to turn opposite wheel). However, I can't seem to tighten my slipper tight enough so that it has enough torque when I hit the throttle. Did I flatten my diff balls and have to rebuild it again? Or is there another problem? It seems like a slipper issue, but my slipper pads are new. any help would be appreciated.

FYI: using FT ball diff. In the past, I've used b-fast ball diff's with ceramic balls and they were always easy to set.

What noise are you getting from the truck? duck call=diff is slipping a whine is the slipper slipping. what motor are you using? what are you looking at for torque?(wheel lifting/ wheelies down the straight?) My tekin redline 17.5 blinky will not lift the tires off the table. it just bogs down. Maybe your slipper spring is worn out and cant compress enough?

thanks for the info. It's more of a duck call sound. Darn, did something wrong with my diff re-build. That's what I thought, but I guess I was in denial. I bet I probably flattened the diff balls. I was eventually able to tighten down the diff and the slipper real tight so it wouldn't slip. But, then my diff felt grainy.

Thanks for the help.

Ive been looking for some carbon fiber body mount support plates. Every place they are listed seems to be out of stock. Does anyone have a source with them in stock?
