for the guys running the harder Kyosho springs, are you running the outside hole on the rear arms or still the middle?

Should look like this......

My kit didn't come with this. There was an update to the diff running in procedure, but not that.

I did also print a manual from the site and I thought I included ass the addendums in it.

If I'd seen that I would have been wondering where my shims were.

Did I use the wrong screw?
Realising that both steering linkage screws are the same length in that bag I have replaced the first one, which is upside down and goes through the end of the servo horn, with a screw 2mm shorter, which fits perfectly and should hopefully be enough for it to stop snagging on the shell.

I'll find out on Sunday if it works.

What o-ring? (I don't see a top cap O-ring in attached instructions.) Was that in the first version of the kit?
(Sorry, I know it is an old post but I took a hiatus and am trying to get caught up.)

Yes, the first run of the kit had an O ring that went into the groove on the shock body at the bottom of the shock cap threading. Many tried to put them into the cap, or didn't tighten enough once they were on, etc... Later revisions of the kit simply don't include it and pulled it from the instructions, since it was found to not be required anyway.

On the Kyosho 1.3 x 8 pistons. Are you guys using the white or black ones? What are the differences?

And anyone running mech brakes? Thoughts?

White. The black ones are more similar to the Tekno ones in that they have different rebound/pack based on the shape. The white ones are flat to keep the damping on those the same.

The white ones have a slight taper on one side. The black ones have more of a cone shape.

You mean the kyosho pistons commin in the MP9 family kit´s.
They are not 1.3 x 8 all arround!

Front and Rear Pistons have different drills (white one and black one).
Intention for that (different pistons in Front than in Rear) is to use the same shock oil rating in Font and rear.

Black ones have the holes drilled thru the piston on a weird angle making the actual hole longer. The white are drilled straight thru like normal pistons. They are both tapered style pistons. Dont know what others are using but I in general from what Ive seen most like the conventional hole style white pistons better. But good luck finding them anywhere.... seem to be popular items right now.
