Hey guys

I hear the a arms on the buggy are weak front and rear are breaking in specific areas is tekno doing something about it? Are they going to use better plastic ?

Any idea when the 3rd production run is due?

Any other improvements looming?

Thanks

I broke a couple front arms in my first runs. I boiled my arms for 10 min and cooled them slowly, and haven't broke one since( at least 30 packs later)
If you're building a kit, boil the arms before you even put them on.

Compared to any other buggy on the market the arms are as tough as any other brand. Maybe tougher. I had a mugen that went through arms like eating popcorn. These are WAY better, as tough as my AE or Xray that never broke unless you deserved it. Nothing is impossible to break, but arms are definitely not a weak part on this buggy.

+1. In my opinion boiling the EB48 arms is completely unnecessary.....they are tough.

+2 I am by no means a top level driver so I have put this buggy through the wringer and the only part I have broken was a front arm from a high speed lawndart that would have broken any other R/C as well .

Don't think boiling the a arms is necessary but if it makes you feel better it cant hurt ......

All of the new products from Tekno are just insane. I am definitely looking to get one of these. A dialed up setup out of the box. The amount you would spend on a similar buggy to get it up to this level makes this my next purchase!

Where are these rumors of broken arms coming from? The above poster who broke 2 arms in his first few runs is the first time I've heard of anything like this.

I used to break arms so often on my B44...I think I might be the best A-arm-breaker in the world, and I have yet to break one on the EB48. Bent the front shock tower pretty bad, but that was a ridiculously nasty hit head-on by another 1/8 buggy (his fault this time).

LOL. My default go to buggy has always been B4. few things I don't like on it but in general could always get them to handle. The Academy GV2 I had was a great car, needed refinements but reminded me of a slightly more neutral b4 with more durability. Could have been more with the right push.

Who knows, maybe Tekno will give us what we need in the future lol.

I broke one front arm but no car would have survived that hit. I got rolled sideways in the air over a BIG triple and stuffed the right front tire into the face of the third hump. It sounded like a gun went off when it snapped.

Ohhhh yeah. Over the PA and everything. I was expecting to find a lot of broken / bent parts after that one. The fact it only broke the a-arm was a plus. It broke off half way between the shock mounting hole and the hub hinge pin.
