Heyy,

So, i finally got my thundertiger running today (yippee!)
Made my own 12v power supply, charged my LiPo, chucked in all the batteries into car and controller, and whoosh, it worked.
But that was about 20 minutes ago. and now it hasnt been working for about 15 minutes, plus getting it outside, yada yada.
Anyway, long story short, i got about 40 seconds run time out of it.
No, it wasnt the battery, that was fine.
I'll let you guess......




It was the main gear.
Because of a rather bad idea, obviously not thought through AT ALL, the Sparrowhawk XXT has a metal motor pinion gear, and a PLASTIC main gear.
Please, someone tell me the logic in that. :@
Anyway, the metal gear ground off all the teeth in the plastic gear and now it doesnt run.

Anyone know where to get a metal main gear?

Plastic gear is cheaper for proction and to keep the salesprice down. Unfortunately for this car are no aftermarket parts avalailble.
