Hey guys, Live RC has spy shots of the new TLR 24 wheeler!!

Woohoo!!!! Check it out. Big Foot & Aliens are real!

http://liverc.com/news/special_featu...WD_Spy_Shots!/

1st on the new page!!! \w/

I blame Frank & Todd, for inciting the fun & goofiness of this thread!

You can't merge the two threads. OFFICIALLY, the car has not been announced & we are still BS'n & starting rumors about it.

Based on the Laser Etching on the rear shocks, it seems it will be called the TLR 24.

Frank will be on Radio Impound Thurs.. I just hope we don't crash the site with everyone wanting to listen in!

I would say there is a reason they both are still competing around the world. And the other reason why this might be the most anticipated wheeler to ever release.

Talking XX4

I think the XX4 when it first came out, brought something to the table for the 10th scale 4wd market. Something new, something fresh that the industry needed at that time. I think the car(s) were ahead of their time. Now, if TLR comes out with a new TLR24, TLR44 XX4 2.0 whatever you want to call it, the car must be able to be better than the xx4. In todays day, that is easy to achieve. By making a new, more stout car, I think one of the main problems with the xx4 will be resolved. An aluminum chassis, and stiffer shock towers alone will provide the car the ability to take a hit without breaking Stronger knuckles as well. The larger shocks might be a plus to make the car more consistent, but, I'm not sure if it actually makes a difference other than that. Sure the larger shocks look cool, but, overall, I just don't know because I never put big bore shocks on my xx4.

The car has been way over due. Many people have bought other cars and will eventually come back to the Losi, but, I think the evolution of the new car is actually behind the times. A new car should have been out in 2007. Same with the TLR22. Late IMO. Maybe it was good they didn't make a new car for so long. I am happy one is coming out.

If Serpent comes out with a 4wd buggy, I wonder how that will compare. Serpent has always seemed to be a pretty good company. I guess that is for another forum though..

The first 2 in 22 is supposed to be the number of motor configurations possible. If it's a 24 does that mean you'll be able to put the motor in two different spots here too?

One of the smoothest/fastest 4wd buggies going around a turn Was never really a fan of graphite though. Maintenance on the Losi XX4 took abit. Spindles & carriers were most common part that broke.

Man that rear shock tower looks huge(high)... was the xxx4 like that? Will be interesting to see the full release kit...seems a lot of companies run aluminum chassis during prototype stage then change to composite. Flexibility is a must for off road i guess.

It's looking like a busy year re new cars and options

Schumacher K1
Xray XB4
B44.2 (late 2012?)

Then offerings potentially from

TLR
Yokomo
Tamiya
Kyosho
Team C

Then the others with updates?

Durango

For me I can't wait to see what TLR will do.

If it doesn't arrive then I'll carry on with FS2 or consider the XB4

If anyone has ever has a XX4, you'll know that the rear shocks were actually truck shock length. That's one of the reasons that the xx4 handled 'the rough stuff' so well. That rear end was so plush and gripped so damn well.

And the 3 belt system just flat out works. Don't complain about it... Especially if you've never owned a xx4.

Nah, I can see the 400-500$ range though for sure. $479.99 MAP is my guess.
