I would think gear diffs, just for the ease of use, and with 4wd, does it need ball diffs?

i would certainly hope so. but not all of the wheelers come with them... i wonder if the liverc announcer would be able to comment on it...

bergie33 09-24-2013 08:37 PM

With the xx4 and XXX4 being ball diff, I would be shocked if they went to gear diffs. Besides, the initial spy photos reported a pretty smooth/quiet run, not often associated with gear diffs.

ever heard a tc running around a track? yeah me either, they are gear diff now a days and make ZERO noise. the low noise is attributed to the belt drive not really the gear diffs IMO

1badgoat 09-24-2013 11:15 PM

Ball diff in the kit. Gear diff as an tuning option? Gear diffs may add to much mass to the drive train for a belt drive, idk.

Ok so the rumored released of this heavily anticipated and rumored car is supposedly tomorrow right?

What are the chances we get this thread to 100 pages before a release announcement?

That all depends on how your personal settings are set, I have mine at max....seeing 40 posts per page so I am only on page 36 for this thread.

My guess would be around $450. Maybe a little less

bergie33 09-25-2013 10:28 AM

I would be happy if it came in at $429 or less. That would put it near the Schumacher, and XRay, but less than the Kyosho and Yokomo.

Goto the user cp (it's in the upper left corner of the screen under the big RCTECH)
once there click edit options under the settings and options catagory.
Then about 1/2 way down the page you will see a drop down menu for how many posts per page you will see.

I have already cleared space on my shelf, and saved money for the new wheeler. Sold my B44.1 and 22T. :tire::tire::tire:

thecman26 09-25-2013 04:38 PM

The announcer claimed to have seen it and even touched it, but no pictures or video... :(

1badgoat 09-25-2013 04:42 PM

I'm going to miss this thread after tomorrow. Thanks to all for the laughs.

Assume due to the belts, but yes I was hoping for gear diffs too.

Time to wait to see what Kyosho bring to the table or go and consider the K1, Yokomo and XB4

ro-ho 09-26-2013 02:09 AM

22-4 at Horizon UK, with bigger pics.

But touring cars use belts with gear difs. So I guess the concer would be on power landings snapping a belt maybe. Just have to see what it does on track but I'll just stick with the xb4

Grasschopper 09-26-2013 04:07 AM

Surprised no one has commented on the $469.99 price tag yet.

Titanium carbon nitride hinge pins, aluminum camber blocks, and aluminum spindles. Well worth the asking price to me.

Dave H 09-26-2013 04:33 AM

Lets move the focus to the new thread and car. I don't think we need 4-5 pages of the same announcement being posted.
