Manuals? We don't need no stinkin' manuals. Ship it!

Pricing

Surely, you have figured out what the cost of this conversion will be. Racers have been waiting and waiting for information. Can't you at least let the racers have an idea of the cost so that they can decide to wait or move on to something else. The racing season is here and want to know which direction to go.

Information please. How many times have we heard information coming in a week or so? We don't need a manual to decide whether to wait it out or move on.

I know that they're trying hard, but cmon, they told us a month ago that pricing would be out! I'm honestly about a week away from ditching this thread and buying the SCTE....

same here, i sold me scte to get a new fresh one, but then I saw this and now waiting for a price and date. I have the $$ to get one but seems like something is up. You dont need to make a manual to know the price of what the kit or conversion will be.

So how did this truck do at the bigfoot race?

annonymous 03-05-2012 03:06 PM

Guys, after digging back through k2rc posts, it seems clear to me that we won't hear anything definative until they have all of their ducks in a row. Until they have all of their suppliers lined out or what ever the problem is, they can't possibly have prices. If I were to speculate, it would be quite a bit more than a SCTE or SC10 (or the two combined lol)

If your jonesing to run shortbus, grab an scte and slap some electronics in it - they only last a few months before a rebuild any way. I can say first hand that after running one of these for a race night, I had no desire to go back to Slopsi - I do hope we hear from them soon though, patince is not really my thing:(

how much are you thinking a full kit would be? $500?

$500?!?!?!?! Good god I thought this was just a simple conversion for the 808...like radio plate and battery strap etc. That's why I'm being so pissy as to when a price will come out...

im talking about a whole kit, not a conversion. I dont want to buy a used nitro roller and get a conversion on top of that.

The buggy is $650 new, plus $250 for the conversion, so yeah, I think $900.

But seriously, I don't have a clue.

Vegatron75 03-05-2012 05:35 PM

4x4SC is dang near or more than 1/8E buggy!!! If this thing is that much^^^^ it will be doomed in my opinion.

yeah but thats for the buggy and conversion. Im talking about just a xsct, so it would be around $550-$650? A new scte is $300-$330, if you add $129.99 for the tuning kit and another $100 for an upgraded chassis its already around $500-$560 and a bit more for tax, so if i look at that to this i would assume it would be a bit more because of all the cf parts. I just hope this isn't over $620 for a full kit.

unfortunately, i will have to side with Craig on the price of the full kit - with the figuring i did, it should be somewhere a little south of that price - but as he said, i don't have a clue

its my understanding there will also be a conversion which i would imagine would be in $300 plus/minus $50 range - again, idk

i wish i could say the release date, but i have no idea of knowing or a way figuring it out, its kurt's business, not mine - i held the completed truck (two of them infact :P) in my hand this weekend , but we have to allow for production time
