I run em, just as smooth as lrp with more tuning options, I think my lhs may have got a bad batch, mine has been perfect ever since I replaced the first one...brakes are way better and power can be smoothed out even better...

idk this car has had me drooling, I wanna try your car on tuesday if you are going if thats ok...

Neither do I. Dave and I constructed some side pods from cutting the under-tray and bolted them to the chassis. We just figured this would stop air from getting under/in the car while jumping and also keep the car cleaner after a run. So far it works well...In Dave's pic a page back you can see them I believe.

Default Kinda new to Schumacher

Hey guys, im kinda new to Schumacher and im having some setup issues. Im running a SV2 +8 and a SV2 Dirt spec. Was wondering if they made a top brace for the Dirtspec that had a little more flex than the one that comes with it? I run on a super loose outdoor clay that is semi bumpy and has a ton of jumps. Im having some steering push issues with the +8, and I dont think im getting enough chassis flex with the dirt spec. Could someone help me out with a setup sheet that may work for both cars? Also running a Cat sx2, which by the way is like the best handling 4wd ive ever driven.. Even makes me look like I know what im doing. lol. Thanks in advance, Mike.

On the D/S the best way to get more flex in the top deck is to open the top deck pin mount hole with a drill bit or dremel tool. you want to have about 1mm of play on all top deck mounting locations. this way the car can flex the chassis more. i did this when i ran the D/S chassis. I also ran the car with no rear pin on the trans for more flex. the hole were the body mounts must be enlarged as well.
On the +8 i never had a push.is it a on power push? make shure you have the right front tire you should try to run a softer front spring and or go to 5 deg front hubs. you change the rear to get the the car to turn more as well but i would start at the front and only make one change at a time. and keep track of the changes you make and if it helped so you have somthing to go by what is the set up you are useing now?

Thanks man, I never thought of enlarging the holes. You are refering to the holes where the alloy pin holds the top strap in place? The pivot points of the top deck? Thats a great idea, should give just the bit of flex I need. As far as the push, it is on power push, at a roll the car is super responsive. I have tried quite a few front tires and I do have a shock spring tuning kit, so I will try some softer springs and a Diff degree hub. Thanks again, MIke.

yes you got it the enlarge the alloy pin holes.what Deg hubs do you have on the front 0 5 or 7 ? springs will help you to tune the car get a F/R set and play with them. also springs wear out over time i change mine ever 3 to 4 months to be safe if your car starts to sag you will know there bad.
