Default Hobbywing ESC giving me a fit!!

Like the title says... Plug it into my program card (the correct way).. Plug up my battery... Program as I see fit... Then switch off the ESC.. Plug back into my receiver and the wheels spin backwards at full throttle without touching the trigger!! Then when I hit the gas they just stop!!! Re-programmed it 100 times!!! Same result!! Does the button on the side of the ESC even come into play here?? I have read the directions and I'm running low on patience here!!! Watched YouTube videos on it and followed them step by step! My settings are all how I desire! But when I plug everything up it's vroom vroom in reverse!!! HELP BEFORE I THROW IT IN THE TRASH AND STAY BRUSHED!!!

Follow the instructions and use the little button on the esc. You HAVE to set it up to your remote. The programming card has nothing to do with that.

You have to turn it on holding the button down. Release button, then there is a sequence you do after that that it will explain in the manual. Something like pressing the button at neutral, holding full throttle and pressing the button again and going full reverse and pressing the button again. Then turn everything off and back on and you are ready to go. I cant remember the exact sequence but it tells you...

Follow the instructions on page 2 of this:

yeah, that is not the esc at all. Calibrate it to the tx as others have said, and you may have to reverse direction on your transmitter as well. Calm down.

It should be fine once you calibrate it. The program card just changes how the ESC acts/performs. The little red button and the transmitter are what you have to use to get it working right with the transmitter.

Keep us posted

I knew that would get it straightened out for you. What do you think about the brushless system?

Yep, you are definately coming along with that e-maxx. It looks nice for sure. It served me well and im sure it will you too

That 9t 4300kv system made my DT STUPID FAST!!! Was an absolute blast to drive!! Was going to put the other system (same thing) in my EXT2.. But now I think I'll put it in my 2wd Slash and order another for my EXT2.. Either or, I think I'll order another either way... Now I am anticipating going BL with my E-maxx... But just ordered the 16.8 EVX-2 for it... I'll keep it that way for awhile and go from there... Time shall tell...

Also, with the EVX-2 I will have TRX plugs for the E-maxx... Then all my others will take the standard plugs (what the HW) system comes with... So that is my only headache worth complainin about! Cause I have to buy the adapters for my charger and such! Then my slash battery will be of no use to me with a TRX plug.. Unless I buy a matched battery for it and run them in my Maxx...

convert to deans on everything and problem solved. or make up some adaptors (i know i keep a deans -> trx connector just in case) and you can run in everything.

Just spend $12 on a squid charging adapter that has all the different battery connectors so you can charge everything with one charger.
