Default Velineon 3500kv

I have a traxxas Velineon 3500kv motor on my durango and the wires are way to long. Does anyone know if it is ok to shorten the wires, or will it hurt the motor?
Thanks Jordan

It shouldn't hurt anything. I wouldn't, however, cut them. Instead, fold them over in a loop and secure it with a cable-tie or two.

Just cut them. The shorter the wire the less resistance you have and the more power you have flowing through the wire.

On some motors you cannot cut the wires as they are part of the windings, you will have a nice paper weight. However in this case you can cut the wires as they are soldered on to tabs.
