Default Good RC to jump ramps?

I have a Rally Monster right now and it seems every time i go off a ramp i either break something or lose a couple of screws. So im looking for a durable Rc that can go off ramps without breaking i don't care if it s a buggy, truck, truggy or what scale it just has to be somewhat fast and be under $250.

If anybody can recommend any vehicles i will look into them and see what i think, so any info is welcome.

Which type of RC is best for jumping?

The Stampede 4X4 jumps well and is a fun basher. Unlike the E-Revo and E-Maxx, it only needs only battery. Since it's brushless, it's plenty fast.

+1 for the Stampede 4x4!!!! It's light weight, big power and plush suspension make it very good for big-air jumping. It's short wheelbase also makes it pretty easy to do backflips with, which as you know, never gets old!

From what I have seen... a good race quality 1/8 buggy. Sure, I have seen E Revo's jump well... but EVERY time I have seen any Traxxas jump for any length of time I have seen them break. I reserved that judgement for a long time while all of my Traxxas fanboy friends lamented at how indestructible they were... then DAILY they would break something. I have YET to break my buggy and have had just as bad if not worse crashes than any of the other RC vehicles I have seen. Just my experiences. Take no offense. Traxxas cars are awesome (got my son a Rustler for Christmas) just based on the OP question this is my opinion formed out of observation.

traxxas stock parts will most likely break if you land the jump the wrong way. I would say a stock traxxas vehicle would not be good for jumping.

I'm a HPI guy because of the Vorza and Baja but you could easily find a traxxas slash used and get the parts you need to get it durable.

Wanna hear a bias answer??? Find a good used 3906 E-maxx, upgrade the drivetrain (3906 came with crappy drivetrain)... And YOUR SET!!! If you get real extreme with your jumps, upgrade to Integy piggyback shocks.. You'll never bottom out!

I know 4 or 5 people with E-Maxx's. Every time they go out, something gets broken. 1 of them is far from stock and it's no better.
DON'T get an E-Maxx. It seems like it's a 1/8 sized truck that they've tried to use 1/10 parts on.
I'd either get the Stampede 4x4 or HPI Savage Flux (not E-Savage).

I have had a tmaxx,emaxx and a savage.

Tmaxx was ok after about 700 worth of hop ups.
emaxx was a total pos. Broke every time I took it out. My buddy had a revo and he hit my savy and he was done for the day but the savy just kept on rolling.
The savage is a total beast. Had I done my research I would have bought the savage first. Awesome out the box. Tough to break. I am know as the carnageking so im not easy on one.

I now own a flux hp. Same platform as a savage but electric. Save yourself headaches and money and get a savage.
