Default Tekin Sensor Wire Harness

Hey guys, so at the iHobby expo in chicago at the tekin booth all of their motors had this clamp that held the sensor wire in place to prevent it from wiggling out. I've contacted tekin and they told me the only way to get them is to buy a brand new motor from them. They do not sell them seperately. I have two tekin motors that it has become an issue that the cable continues to unplug itself while driving. Does anyone have an extra they want to part with and or have the slightest idea where I could find one?

While I don't have any extras myself, what you want to google search is a p-clip. I haven't looked extensively for one like what comes with the motors myself, but there seem to be a good number of suppliers online. If you find one post a link.

If your handy with a metal cutter, just buy a thin sheet of metal (aluminum or brass), cut a rough rectangle, folder/drill/sand. Have 2 tekin motors and that stock clamp is crap the screw eats it up. I believe hardware stores will sell you something similar prebuilt but its probably too big

This is an example. You can get them in a myriad of sizes. Called a "P Clamp" on Digikey's site.

thank you for that link, have any of you used those p-clamps? how well do they hold up..? because my wire has become loose so often the plastic around it on the motor, has begun to crack and it comes loose even easier. I'll have to order some of these.

Where do you live and where do you race? Most of the team drivers carry spares.

Email me and I'll see who's close: [email protected]

Any hardware store or home improvement store will have them . Seen them both metal and plastic . They are pretty common for cables and such .

Yes.

While the head is a little smaller than the one that is there by default, longer ones came in the back with my SCTE. I used one of those that was maybe a little less than 1/4" longer. It went through fine, is flush on the bottom and I can attach one of the included nuts on top to hold it down.
