Blue is better So Lrp x12 or Nosram Pure BL. Never had a problem with those and nosram/lrp v2 speedo. Tried speed passion, tried reedy sonic. Switched back to Lrp....x12 can handle abuse. In training sessions of events, I have driven from full capacity to lipocut with my b44.1/lrp x12 6.5/lrp sxx tc v2/gm 5600 60c. You can imagine that there is little heat in the car. Basically it's on fire and smells 'electric'

Hard to say at this point. At my track everyone loves Tekin esc's but none of them seem to go for their motors.
I stated with a 17.5 ballistic and I loved the power of that motor. The problem with it is if you heat it up its gone.
I have tried a SS and it isn't bad, but again you cannot heat them up.
My brother had a X12 and it seemed stupid fast, but he never could get it geared right, but he did have a slash so......
Right now I am running the older black Orion 17.5. The motor seems fine and I do well with it esp on dirt, but I just don't think I had the same power as I did with the ballistic. My home track loves large jumps and for a stock SC you need that power to make the jumps. However when I travel and i get jumps that are normal sized then im at the front of the pack.
I will be trading in my ballistic and ill try some side by side comparisons to see.
Oh one thing I will say about the Orion is that it can handle being over temped a bit.
