Default Newbie question on set up

I am new to rc and have an Ofna LX2E 1/8 with ez run 2250 kv 80amp motor/esc combo. Will dual 2 cell 4000mah 40c work? Any help is welcome and thank you.

Sure, that will work fine. It will be very fast.

If you are really a newbie, pretend there's a grape under your trigger finger. You never want to crush it, and you never want to drop it. Doing that will make you smoother on the throttle, and help you avoid excess wheel-spin, which ruins your traction.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I havent driven an rc since I had my Tamaya Grasshopper over 20 years ago! I cant wait. I am just waiting on my batteries and charger/power supply to be delivered by UPS today and my steering servo that will arrive next week. I had originally order that same battery setup but in 20c. Would it have made much of a difference if I used the 20c over the 40C? Thank you for your replies.

Yes. With a 40c you should feel a noticeable improvement over the 20c.

Imagine the C-rating to be the size of the fuel-line between tank (lipo) and motor. Bigger C-rating means more "fuel" can flow faster. Better punch.
