Team Associated RC8.2e Thread
#7426
I asked this in the Monster truck sub-forum but no replies so far. Do the RC8t suspension arms for the 8.2e buggy?
#7427
I believe fitment is fine, but you have to account for them being longer. Thus, longer drive shafts.
#7428
And it'll look very short as the the wheelbase for the truggy is longer. It'll have an outline like a square. This is a Kyosho Inferno with long arms, but buggy chassis. Very stable but kind of weird looking.

Well I have already scrapped the idea of going MT. Tires are too expensive and this is a secondary vehicle for me. The terrain around my house works best with an MT but a GT8 conversion(as I understand it) appears to me a much cheaper option for me and I can use my worn off-road tires for it. I know there is a long thread on E-buggy based GT8s but I didn't find any clear info on bumpers that may make body mounting easy.
#7431
No. Not that I found. The bumpers from any 1/8 scale gt vehicle doesn't really fit without modifications as they were designed to be attached to the specific brand's front diff area.

Hey Gents
Long time since ive been on here hope you and your RC8.2es are strong and sturdy.
Ive just unboxed from storage my trusty RC8.2e which i believe was converted to electric and sourced from rctech back in 2k14.
Its a bit rusy and in need of TLC i didnt even clean it before going into the box.
As my uncle would say hes hard on the gear that fella.
Long Story short ive thrashed this thing gone through a few setts of batts just having a laugh mostly bashing.
I Know form experience these things are rock solid ive smashed mine up and only replaced 1 bent swing arm and a the same doggone.
I've since had a few kids and the eldest is ready to swing a hex around and i'm keen to get him into building up the skills to partake in the hobby
Should i A
Strip it down
Clean it up
Add in the unopened avid shock towers and bearing kit.
Drop some more cash on it (needs a new Esc it blew up and thats why i lost interest)
Will stainless steel screw sets stand up the more abuse?
Search long and hard for parts etc (pretty time poor atm) this is the main driver for option B
B
Sell it?
Move on to the latest and greatest.
Get a kit / support the local hobby store?
Hop it all up over time
but what to?
Care to share any thoughts.
Ps i have a factory RC8 (uncut) and RC8.2 proline bulldog body

I would say to keep it. They are tanks and should still give you years of running time. I love mine and I am making one of them into a desert buggy like the nomad. I just need bigger tires and a 6s esc. I used a rollcage modifed from a slash 4x4.
#7434
Is the Nomad DB8 pretty much the same as a RC8.2e? Thinking about buying one, it's all metric, right?

I'm getting the new RC8B3.2e this week. Gonna get a cheaper ESC combo swap out in my 8.2e for bashing. It is a blast to bash with some knobby tires. Sure is hard to find 1/8 scale ESC combos now

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I wanted to share this. SoI bought this rc8 car for a steal and wanted to dabble in 1/8 scale anyway. I bought all the parts to make it electric. It's a blast to drive. I impulsively purchased the vertical c-hub and its steering knuckle when I was buying up everything rc8 I could from the team associated website. Much to my dismay, I was missing ass89567 pins and sleeves that finishes up this steering marvel. So I scoured the net and could find nothing, not even on eBay. WTF!? I took measurements and bought some hardware from China (can't guarantee it's virus free). This is my solution. I'll include the links in a second post as I have to get them from my account and I'm on my phone. But it works! Apparently I can't post my pics or URLs?
4mm x 6mm top hat bearing
12mm clevis pin (closest to the groove pins ASS uses) C
vertical steering c-hub and knuckle
This was supposed to be a pic of the all the parts. I'll try again after I post 9 more times.

Have you had luck getting the substitute parts for 89567? I can't seem to fine 12mm clevis pins and was hoping you have a URL to get them from (as well as the other parts with 89567)
Thanks!
