If you go to Amains website and put rc8.2 in the search bar then go to the last page of 8.2 parts they stock the protek gearbox shims in 1&2mm. Buy both and shim away.

He is not talking about side to side movement... More so, the bearing being loose after the gearbox is tightened...

Does the Turnigy 4500mAh 4S 30C hard case fits in the stock RTR? is that enough juice to start racing this RTR?

Yes they do, and they work fine.

Anyone using RCShox 2-stage pistons? If so, what oils are you using. I have Kysohso light blue springs on at the moment. I know all track conditions are different, but just looking for a starting point.

how often do you guys run your rc8s? i seem to run 1pack, 5000-6000mah, through mine about 5 times a week.

next time i go bashing i'm going to film it.

i'm getting better and better at jumps and landings, and i love it when i launch FAAAARRR into the air and land nice, smooth, and parallel with the ground as if no jump occurred. it's like when a diver at the summer olympics dives into the water with minimal to no splash.

when i get new batteries, whenever that is, i'm getting two 2s smc lipos, inboard style. i always read good stuff about smc.

but right now i have gforce batteries, which i like well enough. better than the gens ace batteries i had before.

hey metoo, that's a totally ******' paint job in your avatar. love it. makes me want to try various neon paints. neon green or so would make a great shell color for bashers who drive their rc at night. -- better visibility.

The bearings shouldn't be loose in the case. If they are you got a bad gear box and you should contact ae for a replacement. Usually there will be slight play in the outdrives and bearings but nothing major.

I bet yello would like this jump! http://youtu.be/1MD_pKl37Ps

So I received my BRAND NEW RC8.2E RTR today… It came with 6 stripped chassis screws, 1 stripped motor mount bolt, 1 missing shock suspension pin and a badly bend rear cv… Called tower and of course they are fantastic as always and it’s being sent back for a replacement. I’m soooooo mad right now!! Such a sour taste in my mouth about AE at the moment… All I own are AE vehicles never expected a company of this quality to have such poor assembly and quality check of their RTR vehicles… This is my first RTR from them; I will be going over this 2nd car with a fine tooth comb after this. If it is anything but perfect, you might just see a race ready factory team B4.2 and RC8.2e for sale… Hello KYOSHO! :flam ing:
