Unhappy D8Te Grinding in the center diff

I have a d8t that i converted to an electric with the tekno conversion kit, im running the 50/14 gearing and somewhere its got a bad grinding noise when power is applied, the grinding isnt in the motor and doesnt seem to be coming from the center diff, do i just have a bad pinion gear or is something else jacked...any help would be great!

I would check your bearings where the pinion goes into the front and rear diff cases. I would check the rear first. I had an inner bearing go bad and it was letting the rear shaft and pinion slip out of the diff case. It was also chewing on the bearing parts.

What pitch pinion did you get? I am using mod 1 on d8te with a light weight steel 48 tooth spur from the hara d8 buggy.
