Default cooling fan trimming

i read somewhere on here about trimming the blades on the cooling fan to help it last longer. does anyone have any pics or video so i have an idea of how much to trim and how to do it? thanks

I cover my fans with screen, I use ceiling sheetrock tape And glue it over the fan. I have had good luck with this method, no more chipped fan blades.

Cutting the fins have worked great for me. Take thin small sharp scissors cut the pointed ends off the blades. Start as close to the center hub as you can. Allso the muchmore fans are the best haven't had one go bad yet...
