I don't know, seems like they have all but said it's being discontinued. They haven't used that word exactly, but clearly that's what the implication is. And they never just drop prices like that unless something is on the way out……maybe the 22T just hasn't been selling well and they are making room for that new 4wd car everybody knows exists……time will tell!

Well if the 22T is on the way out it sucks but as long as the 22sct stays around the there will still be a plenty of parts avaliable to keep mine running. I have not looked to see how many parts are unique to the 22T versus the 22 and 22sct. Either way I have no worries about keep my truck up and running for a few more years. I love the truck, and I'm lucky to be able to race it every weekend.

A representative for TLR said that they would continue to carry parts for at least two years after a vehicle is discontinued, and that with the 22T it would probably be longer than that.

Read into that what you will.

How well has your truck held up from racing every weekend? From what I have read these things seem to hold up very well. Any noticeable slop in the plastic parts, or are they very durable?

I have another question for the 22T faithful, how well does the slipper function out of the box?? Any need for something like the AVID Triad or is the stock unit just fine??

I have the Triad in my 22b and love it. It is very consistent and requires less maintenance. The stock unit is fine but you need to keep an eye on it so there is no glazing. It is consistent if you maintain it well.

How well does the Triad fit in the stock gear cover?

A little slop in all the usual places but nothing bad. The only thing I had break was the plastic idler gear but replaced it with the aluminum one.

I run the RCshox garodisc slipper pads for the stock slipper. I have been very pleased with the performance. The have been very smooth and consistent with no sanding needed.

Yes but it is expensive. There is a list on this or the SCT thread but I think it added up to around $200
