I don't know, seems like they have all but said it's being discontinued. They haven't used that word exactly, but clearly that's what the implication is. And they never just drop prices like that unless something is on the way out……maybe the 22T just hasn't been selling well and they are making room for that new 4wd car everybody knows exists……time will tell!

Well if the 22T is on the way out it sucks but as long as the 22sct stays around the there will still be a plenty of parts avaliable to keep mine running. I have not looked to see how many parts are unique to the 22T versus the 22 and 22sct. Either way I have no worries about keep my truck up and running for a few more years. I love the truck, and I'm lucky to be able to race it every weekend.

A representative for TLR said that they would continue to carry parts for at least two years after a vehicle is discontinued, and that with the 22T it would probably be longer than that.
Read into that what you will.

I have another question for the 22T faithful, how well does the slipper function out of the box?? Any need for something like the AVID Triad or is the stock unit just fine??

A little slop in all the usual places but nothing bad. The only thing I had break was the plastic idler gear but replaced it with the aluminum one.
