there were a ton of wheelers at the Nats too, but that has nothing to do with "the market."
as has been said many times, us racers only make up 10% of the market, and the class participation at the Nats is merely a microcosm of what's popular on the club level.
hate them or not, Short Course Trucks outnumber Stadium Trucks at almost every track nationwide, and in some cases have replaced them entirely.
as racers we have to realize that we can't keep adding classes without them, one way or another affecting, other classes.
when Stadium Trucks first came into being, for a while at least, they took away from the number of Buggy racers, since they were basically buggies with different bodies and wheels/tires. same thing happened with Short Course Trucks, since they were basically stadium trucks with different bodies and wheels/tires (and chassis).
while Buggies survived, being as they were a foundation class in offroad racing, in my opinion there's only room for so many Truck classes, and at least for right now that appears to be those of the Short Course variety.

my local track had there once a year race, there were three stadium trucks(including me) and tons of SCT's and Buggies.
so it looks like I am going to sell my 22T after this season, three cars going around a track is too boring for me.(thats how it is at my local track, I dont know about other locations) I ran expert stock SCT, 8 cars and I had a blast running with the local fast guys and 702 racers!
