Those are good pistons to start with.

What size batteries are you guys running (milliamps)..I'm running a 9.5 on a high bite indoor track and I figured that 4200 would work good..

Do they make trailing spindles fot the truck? I know that the buggy and truck spindles don't interchange.

Casper tried your setup at the last race. All I can say is WOW , what a difference . I have a quick question why run buggy white springs in the rear instead of the ones for the truck?

Thanks

Buggy springs tend to be just a little stiffer and a touch more progressive then the truck ones. It is a fine tune thing.

Glad you like the setup!

What are the sticking points when building the shock on these things? Pun fully intended. I just finished building mine and the rear shocks are definitely not right. With the stock rear spring on it I can run the adjusters all the way to the bottom of the threads and still not get the rear up to recommended ride height. Off the truck, they cycle smooth but the rebound is sloooooooooow. This is with the stock pistons and 27.5w oil. On the track they are very harsh and the rear end slaps around all over the place. The front shocks work just fine. I have pulled them apart numerous times, sanded and re-sanded the edges of the pistons to verify the flashing is gone etc. I have built them with no rebound all the way up to the most rebound I could get out of them. I have tried bladders and emulsion style. What am I missing?

Have a local look a the shocks for you? Also check to make sure your arms move freely. Also make sure you don't over tighten the upper shock mounts.

I have had a couple of guys look at them, they are just as stumped. I have built and re-built numerous shocks over the years and never had this problem. Whatever it is, it is even from side to side as verified by a shock balance tool. The arms are very free and I have tried running the mounting nuts and bottom bolts loose to the point of almost falling off.

I run a 6600mah in mine with a 10.5t and use around 1500mah in a 6min heat with about a minute of warmup... So that will be plenty!

I think he meant he was about the "bottom bolts loose to the point of almost falling off" statement... The bottom bolts should be tight either way... The tops might help with binding...

As far as why you cant get ride height... IDK... I barely have to lowewr my collars, maybe 1/4-1/2" from top to get correct ride height on either of my trucks unless I am using buggy springs.

No it was me not having a clue. Only so much you can do on the internet. I can't think of what it might be.
