Default SC 12mm hex to 17mm LEGAL?

Could you convert your SCT hex to 17mm and run 1/8 scale wheels and tires and be legal?

Actually depends on the track rules. Some places allow them but its not normally legal.

No, but if you wanted to go the 17mm conversion route you could use SC8 wheels and still use SC tires. I don't see why most tracks wouldn't allow that.

Some guys where doing this that have trucks the used to use the drive pin style wheels on the back like the SC10.

This allowed the front wheels/tires to be swapped with the back.

Actually I believe the last post is partly correct in that you can use SC tires but I would get the DE Racing sc wheels for 17mm hex as the standard sc8 wheels wont fit standard sc tires.

none of the "legality rules" really apply at the track. they only really matter when it comes to a race.
