Just letting you guys know that Nikola Tesla's birthday was today and our RC cars would be nothing more than paper weights if not for his invention. Still has the fundamentals of his original RC boat he had on display in 1898.

Growing up my dad had a TV Repair Shop and inside were tons of Tesla coils he built by hand among other things he did for projects. When I was young we made my first Tesla coil, 3 inches high. He read tons of books on Nikola Tesla piled in and on his nightstand. I didn't think much of the man he was reading about until I got older. Except that he had a cool name lol.

Yea I worded that wrong.
The fundamentals of our RC cars can be found in the first RC, Nikola Tesla's boat he had at the 1898 worlds fair.
I searched his name on this forum and was disappointed to find few mentions of him, considering he invented our hobby.
Also, IIRC, he invented the electric motor (which hasn't changed much in the past 100 years), so he invented Electric RC's as well, otherwise we would all be driving Nitro's.

Steam powered rc?
Convert that to high air pressure?
Would steam power be better for the environment?

Not sure I'd want to marshal steam cars though...
By the way, my boss has a RC Stanley Steamer model. Around 1/4 scale I think. It's very cool.
