hi guys,

im just getting back into the hobby after a loooooong time off. i bought a 2wd sc10 off of my friend, which has the CVD set up instead of the stock set up. over the last few practice sessions, the set screw (loctite was used) has backed out a tad, thus causing the pin to slip out. this has become very frustrating, as the CVD kit is $9 at my local track, i've bought two of these now because the pin keeps coming out. On top of that, I have recently broken two CVD bones

has anyone else experienced this? the guy at the shop at my local track said my dif feels fine, and the pin slipping out is ulitmately causing these to break. am i better off running the oem dogbone set up?

put a little bit of shrink tubing over them, or just get the FT SC10 style ones that use a metal clip around the outside to hold the pin in.

thanks matt. i actually did have that little retaining clip over it. it still is on the right hand side one. i'll try some shrink tubing, as well as that clip perhaps next time.

i use these on my oval cars... they should work just as good on the offroad stuff

Around the outdrive of the diff?

I think those go over the other cvd side (not the dogbone where the diff outdrive is) This way it locks in the pin from moving out. As for your problem, yep sometimes a hop up is really not much of a hop up. Try going stock again for awhile.

They snap in on the end of the cvd and cover the pin
