Roar should be updating the rules for 4 pole motors soon . I expect them to be somewhere around what Tekin and Castles motors are currently running.

Will stay in the 540 size 36x52 which is 2mm longer

Longer rotor will give it more magnet area which will improve overall efficiency and torque.

In the new motor looking for more power around 1400 watts while lowering temps down even further.

It works fine but it works much better with a Hobbywing esc. I've run it with a MMP but that esc just doesn't feel smooth to me. Switched esc's and I swear it feels like a sensored system.

So how are the 540 "regular" motors. are they as good as the 4 poles appear to be?

Have to say im dissappointed in this motor...picked up a 4000kv and tried to run it first time last nite. First batt pack thru it and the solder joint at the bullet connector broke. The wires a super stiff and wrapped up. Not sure why. Ill have to cut em open and look. Motor seemed to run a lil hot for short time i got to run it too.....

Bummer.

My experience with the motor rocked. Clearing jumps no one else could, temps in the normal range, no need to temp a $40 dollar motor anyway

Only thing on mine some of the wire sleeve started coming unraveled so I just heat shrinked it and called it a day.

Could not be happier with the motor.

Well i cut back the wrapping on the wires. They tinned like 80% of the wire comming out of the housing???? Thats why the wires wont flex geesh......well i resoldered the bullets as they did a crappy job and re heatshrinked all 3 so i can give it another go.....

Hmm mine dosent have solder run out that far at all. Infact i may add solder to stiffen the wires up a bit.

I really wish they put a rubber grommet like the castle motor has. My wires get beat to heck because there is so much flex and it tears through the shrink wrap and I saw some arcing on the can

I hate the bullets, wish they'd just run wire out.

Got a new 4000kv 4 pole on the way! Scored it in trade from a guy who bought a few too many. I cant wait to drop it in my Hyper 10TT with a Mamba Pro and 3s. Should RIP! I had a Castle SC 3800 until I had to sell it. This should fill the gap great! I never heard of it until the trade then Google took me to this thread. Now Im excited
