What would be a good place to start for gearing a Tekin 2050? Any recommendations on brand of pinions? Thanks!

16T pinion on medium to large tracks. I've run a 17T on a huge outdoor door track, and a 15T on a small outdoor or indoor track. Serpent pinions work great! I've also used RC Monster pinions and HotBodies pinions.

I've ran 14-17 with that motor. I typically run 16. How you can gear the motor will depend on how you drive the car, track conditions, and some environmental conditions. Start small and work up.

I run serpents 16T with a 2050 and I need to turn my epa down with smc lipos

New body?

I'm interested in a second buggy. I'm considering the Serpent 811 BE RTR or the Assoc. RC8.2E. Any thoughts?

What is with this cab forward crap? Everybody with the cab forward bodies, ugly, should have left it alone.

I think I can speak for everyone. You are the .00001% that doesnt like em', you can still get the low and sleek body. I am sure they have tons left. I like both, but I like the forward way better

He's not alone I LOATHE all the cab forward designs. While I like a lot of what Jconcepts has done for this hobby the cab forward movement isn't one of them.

While I'm no top level driver after switching from RC8.2e to the 811 2.0e I was so much happier, I struggled to find a setup that worked for me on the AE. It may sound crazy but my lap times dropped by about 3 seconds just because I had fun driving it, quality wise the Serpent is amazing, get one you won't be disappointed.

Didn't know Novarossi made electric motors.

I don't have my 811Be at the moment, I took the HW xerun 150a/Thunderpower 1900 combo out. PM if you are interested. It is still wired to be a direct fit in the 811be also, wires soldered and all.

Love the 2.0. Is there a trick to centering the steering servo horn fully assembled?? I removed the chassis brace but driveshaft is still in the way.
I managed to remove the whole servo/ESC box and did a trial and error to get it close.
For the life of me I can not figure out an easy way to do this.

Also any aluminum horn or alternate linkage options for the Cobra??
UPDATE! I just found the Serpent Alum. Servo levers. Still going to have the same trouble centering.

TIA

Serpent sells a aluminum horn for the ebuggy or you can use a hot bodies horn. Centering servo make sure you turn on your transmitter and electronics. Make sure your epa and subtrim is set to zero and center. Then install the radio tray this prevents things from moving. Then install the horn and use your subtrim for finally adjustment. Make sure you install the horn to the servo arm first then use some Shoe glue for the nut that sits below the steering assembly where screw down the arm. This makes it much easier and you don't need to hold that bottom nut.
