I agree I just ordered one for myself. It worked out to 96$ shipped with the programming box :D

Just for reference, I just measured one of my springs and it's 62mm.

I forgot to mention, that I just went from the original springs V1 to the V2 springs and the spring collars were at least half of the way turned down to get to 27mm ride height. I did not change the oil at all just springs.

FYI watch the plastic trees for the shock pistons. I did all 1.3s and accidentally slipped a 1.4 in there. I could tell something was different too lol.

Just be careful, the trees are of different pistons, not one type per parts tree.

Try the csi pistons with webbed bladders... made a huge difference in my car

Is that the brand(CSI)? I don't want to go back in there yet :)

Hub and coupler pins.

Let me ask you about the shock shafts and hinge pins... Are these recommended because they break?

Racermac73 03-28-2013 04:20 PM

Yea csi is the brand and blacks are what I'm running .... I'm not sure on that parts list cause i haven't broken a single part, id get option 2 steering rack and low roll center block for the back then white rear springs

rdeppen 03-28-2013 04:28 PM

Yeahhhhh not so sure about that list. I've never broke ANY of those parrts on either my E-buggy or my nitro car.

The arms, rod ends (steering and camber all come in one $20.00 kit) and the suspension bushings are a good idea but only for emergency backup or a few months down the road for when you want to freshen it up. The arms damn near NEVER break but they will bend over time.

Does anyone know where to get blue csi pistons? Csi is out of them.

Racermac73 03-28-2013 04:37 PM

A main hobbies carries the whole set but blacks are for around 45wt oil and thinner

Absolute Hobbyz has them all in stock for Serpent:

I ran them in my RC8.2. They didn't change the world for me that's for sure. Get yourself a set of the Serpent 6 or 8 hole tapered machined pistons. Drill them to 1.3 and your good to go

Does this fit without mods into the 811be? It looks just like the Hobbywing 150A Xerun without the plastic top case over the fan, and the Hobbywing requires a little help to fit in there properly.

The price is good though, as the Hobbywing is $96.

I have been running the IX8 but needed a glitchbuster cap to keep the system from browning out while using a KO Propo RSX servo. It is one of the old IX8's without the improved BEC though.

Does anyone use the Fiorini pistons? I see a lot about the CSI and Serpent tapered, but nothing about the super fancy ones.

Just curious. I just rebuilt my shocks on my 811 and put in CSI blues (outdoor bumpy tracks, seemed to be the recommendation over blacks which were more hard packed smooth conditions). I got a set of CSI bladders also but still using the webbed bladders that I had. 45wt front 35wt rear AE oil. Will hopefully get it out in the next few weeks, but have an onroad race in a week I am prepping for.
