Where is every body putting the transponder?? Are you guys putting the transponder where it is supposed to go or outside?? Or any body using a separate battery for the transponder?

And when is the Serpent eTruggy going to come out? I don't want to buy a Tech-Nooo Truggy even if a pro driver at my track is already driving one...

transponder is mounted on the bottom of the servo, since it's mounted sideways, is like the side of the servo facing the side of the car.

Or you could put it somewhere around the RX housing.

DONT put it under the ESC mount on the chassis.

Etruggy conversion will be out very soon I believe, all the hardware is ready as I have received the parts and I'm putting it together today. So just hang in there it will definitely be worth it!!

And I have been running my transponder in the receiver box, it's a tight fit but it works :D

I know people were having issues with the transponder under the servo so I mounted mines on the back side of the steering servo with double sided tape. Never had any issues plus it's assessable.

^ yah I meant my transponder IS on the backside, that is, it is NOT between the servo and the chassis, and really the only "bad" way to mount it is between the chassis and something else, avoid that and it will be fine.

good news on the eTruggy, I want to be fully Serpent equipped so that with my tent and posters and pit mat and towel .. then I can at least "look" like I'm sponsored by Serpent even if I'm not.

Hey, everybody has got to have "some" goals in life!!

Hi
Need some advice for Cobra setup. There is my setup:

Diffs: 15k 15k 10k
Front:
Shocks -35wt , shock tover 3 hole, arm outer hole. Spring -pink , lenght-98mm, conical 8 hole pistone
Track road inner - 2, outer -B
Arm insert front 0, rear 0
Accerman- 2
CAster 12
Camber -2
Toe -(1-2)
Swaybar 2.3

Rear end:
Shocks - 25Wt, Shock tower 3 hole, arm outer hole. Spring -grey (old version), lenght 124mm, conical 8
Track road inner 1 hole, outer -C
Arm insert: Rear 5 out, front 4 up
Camber -3
Swaybar 2.5
Rear hubs all to end car.

What I do not like is with break rear and is trying to spin around the car and on the turns with bigger speed when I loose the throttle with stearing rear end is sliding too. With a lot of throttle from the corner exit rear end is not sliding just on turns if I push a little he is sliding around the car.

Hey Randy,

Can you post a picture of how you cut the back of your body out? I remember you saying something about cutting it out and using Velcro.

I had my 811 down to 3300 grams with shorty packs but a regular motor, the T8i would have been sick in that. I'll have to try that combo again sometime:sneaky:

Here you go Paul

Eny comments?
Why E-cobra rear and is harder (when pushing it to ground) when Nitro cobra with the same shock oils, pistons and springs? How could I do them softer if now I have yellow springs, 6x1.4mm pistons and 25wt oils.

It could be because of the weight, maybe?

Take the shocks off of one and put it on the other and see what happens. Maybe there is a tolerance difference between the pistons and shock body.

hey chick what would be better a serpent 811 2.0 convert to ep and run 4s or serpent 811 be 2.0 run duals what would be better off doing

rdeppen 07-25-2013 02:23 PM

Had 2 good (top 5 consistently) local drivers who had the purpose built E serpent switch to a Nitro conversion car on 4s. Both have since changed again back to the split 2s design. It just works better
