Looks great, can't wait for mine. Only problem I see is that the battery trays don't really allow for batteries with wires coming out the top or sides. Since I'm going to run Hyperion 3300 3S batteries (yes, they'll fit, slightly smaller than normal hardcase 2S batteries) I'll have to make slots in the battery trays for the wires to come out.

Also, it looks like any motor longer than the Tekin won't clear the steering post. Unless that pic is of a truggy motor. Tekin buggy T8 is 70.8mm long, plus needing to allowing for some space for the sensor cable to come out and bend. I have a Viper VSEB 1400 1/8th scale motor (borrow from a Viper sponsored driver, that they sent to for testing), and its 72.7mm long, plus having to allow for the sensor cable to come out and bend. Be interesting to see if the Viper will fit. Although, the one I have here is pre-production and the dimensions may change.

Also just for the info, the T8 motor is 42mm in dia. and the Viper is 41.9mm in dia. Just holding them both, I would have said the Viper was bigger in diameter, but it's not. Probably because the back part of the Tekin, where there's no heatsink fins is 40 mm in diameter, and the Viper has fins all the way back, making it look bigger.

The Tekin buggy T8 weighs 11.64 oz/330g and the Viper weighs 12.95 oz/367.2g.

Turning the rotor by hand, the Viper has a stronger magnet feel over the Tekin, although thats not always a good thing.

the Viper VSE 1/8 motors are available and dimensions i have seen are 72mm....will be tight, but hope it fits, i plan to run this buggy, with viper power

That has to be the coolest 1/8th electric buggy right now. I'm waiting for the Durango though, but the Serpent is going to be really nice, well done.

If the sensor port on the Viper is offset like on the Tekin T8 it might be possible to clear the steering post by rotating the engine case.

As long as there is room in the first place that is.

Absolute Hobbyz has them listed as well, but you might have to call/email to pre-order. And their price is $20 cheaper than Amain. Interestingly enough, the 811E is listed $10 less than the nitro 811. As I would expect for having to have less crap and parts on the chassis than for nitro. :)

Wonder if it'll come with any 'hop ups' like aluminum shock towers, hard anodized shock caps, delrin shock bushings, Ti tie rods, or if we'll have to buy that stuff extra. Well, not me, I'll steal it all off my existing RCM 811-e. :)

And I'm on the way to buy a RCM for my JQ :D. Waiting for the fight between S811-E, DEX408 and Robitronic Vision. Will buy one later when these cars will be fixed. New cars always have weak points that are getting solved the first months. Still this S811-E looks BADASS
