re: Mike Reedy
I read this info on another website and I am truly sad to hear such an
Icon as Mr. Reedy has passed. I have never had the pleasure of meeting
him but, I wish I had. I have read over the years a little background on him and the years that he has put into this industry were amazing. Not to mention the associates he has met, coached and has worked with.
I am sorry to hear the bad news and I send nothing but best wishes to the family.
Hopefully, he is somewhere in the sky watching over us instilling some old R/C wisdom of helping and being aware of our fellow racers, and also helping us to remember if you are not making a paycheck, this is just a hobby. No need to get angry.
To all. Go play with your R/C Cars.
Thanks Mr. Reedy for the excellent products you have brought to market and thanks for helping to push this industry to what it is today.

i just put a reedy flash 12t in my antique goldpan rc10 and buzzed it around the parking lot in front of my house. My grin was ear to ear. Never met the man. Never owned many of his products, but godspeed to you Mike Reedy. Thanks for everything you did for this hobby!!!

I have one from a UK sedan race when I was 21.
I may have only made the J main, but the weekends racing and meeting Mike to collect my trophy was a moment of my rc life that will never be forgotten.
Mike has done so much for r/c, such a great guy.
RIP

I've been away for a bit and this is sad news indeed. When I think back to the begins of modern RC a few names come to mind. Cliff Lett, Joel Johnson, and Mike Reedy. What can I say that has not already been said? When I started racing as a 8 year old kid back in the early 90's the older guys started calling me Reedy (my real last name is Reid) I figure because it was close to my actual name. I even used the Reedy Modifieds stickers on my real race cars.
God speed Mike, your mark on the RC world is permanent.
