I cant wait to get my ball diff from marcus, i think thats gonna be the final piece needed

macnkitty2002 12-26-2011 09:39 PM

I can now confirm the following:

1. RTR shock screws have been thread locked.
2. RTR diffs have just enough oil to coat the gears. Drained them as best I could to replace with my oil and hardly any came out.
3. Getting the diffs out of this thing is a pain in the a$$! :flaming:
4. RTR motor with 25c 2s Lipo provides better than expected performance. Comparable to Castle Sidewinder SCT system. Soft launch control is default setting. Gearing is just right for top speed on most medium sized tracks. May want to go up a couple teeth for a larger 1/8 track.
5. RTR steering servo is plenty fast enough. Turn the dual rate all the way down.
6. Check all fasteners on RTR. Found several that were not tightened all the way, including wheel nuts.

It adds another slipper pad to help with the poor stock slipper setup. So that you can actually adjust your slipper without having to have it "locked down"

As per viper, there being sent out first week in january, def worth the wait, i was able to get ahold of a preproduction combo and its badass!!!

Thanks for the great info. I will look into them. I am finding limited info on them right now. How will the viper esc compare to the mmp I'm running. Do you recommend the viper pro gauge? I saw on the viper forum that the 1st toros are sensor less and they are releasing a sensored version later..... Any thoughts?
