Main reason I can think of is that the HT pad on the belt side would add a little extra strain to the belt....plus the main time that you will be putting extra strain on the slipper, the weight is going to be shifting to the back of the truck, which would lift the front wheels up, and therefore there should be less resistance coming from the front anyway and the stock slipper pad should be reasonably Ok to deal with that....

That being said, I've been running HT pads on both sides since they came into stock and my belt is still doing just fine. I have a spare belt on order, just in case.

I actually have two spare belts but I havent had any belt issues either. I probably have a hundred packs in the car and I've only had to adjust the tension once! Well twice if you include the initial break in/stretch.
I'm just amazed cause so many people have slipper issues and are against running both HT pads...but I do run both and have no slipper issues...

So a while ago I mentioned something about dual stage pistns, well they will be availible soon, I have been helping test them out and the freakin rock. On a rough track they help out a ton in the rebound rate, equaling greater tracktion. Check em out at rcshox.com

Nice placecard...tease...

they do fit pretty nicely and have a nice look to them. i will be testing them out to see if they improve how it drives and try various oil and piston sets. im currently running 30 f and 25 r with red springs

Mud Flaps

Has anyone else had their mud flaps pull right off? At least three of the SC104x4 guys and one of the Losi guys have lost mud flaps at our track... the three flaps we found were perfectly intact, so it looks like the rubber just stretched around the washer and screw.

One guy has CA'd his flap to the bumper inbetween the screws and they are holding on well for him...

They tried to make them as soft as rubber as possible so they would not interfer with suspension movement. The down side is that they are really stretchy. :D

got tired of cleaning them on my 2wd sc10, and they have been off for awhile...sooo...the only thing to do on the 4wd was to leave them off:D just something else to deal with IMO

yep, both mine are gone. That rubber is super soft, you cant really tighten the screws that hold it to the bumper without smashing them so CA sounds like a good idea. I sure wish they would have made their tires with the same material so we could use them...
