Thanks Dom, going to try it today.

Anyone try there SC10 4x4 in a 2wd configuration? I know, odd question, but curious if anyone has and how that worked out for them against other 2wd SCTs.

i saw a post in the last week or so, that someone converted their 4x4 to a 2wd. they said they post up some pix. dont think i've seen any though.

Ae 16mm Big Bore Shock Mod

16mm BB shock mod report ...

Ran the truck the first time last Saturday . Results ? not so good .
Too be expected as I only made a good guess with the first try .

Tonight I made the changes below....
ran a pack with the new changes tonight..

Lap times show a significant improvement compared to the first try .

Finding a good spring combination is proving to be the most difficult task at this point of the project ..

Front
Ae 16mm X 29mm Sc8 shock body
29mm shock shaft
Internal Limiter = 11mm

External limiter = 0

Ae 45W oil

Losi 15mm 2.3" x 4.4 ( silver) front spring

Rear

Ae 16mm X 29mm Sc8 shock body
29mm shock shaft

Internal limiter = 3mm
external limiter = 3mm

Ae 40w oil

Losi 15mm 2.3 X 5.3 (green) front spring

Cam , I only tried to offer a hand & the dog only bit me for the effort ..

How that's Losi ?
Should of got the RB6 , its way better..

Which in turn is almost as good as the B4 ...:ha:

Going to be slightly difficult, seeing as how I work there, George.

I converted my Team Kit to 2wd last winter, I took the front CVD's apart and removed the front diff., belt and cover and off I went.
It worked great on indoor carpet racing (1 sec. faster per lap)... not so much luck on clay tracks this summer but I didn't spend that much time trying to make it work.

Maddog94 11-27-2012 06:28 AM

Anyone try front wheel drive only?

hi and welcome tothe teamfactory problem:nod:

Next time you rebuild use double shims behind the sun gears. The distance between the sun gears are to big.In the new kitts the shims are thicker.

It is ok if the diff is a lill tight in the start. Did do the same in the front. But there i needed to take away one shim on one side on the axle(outside the diff)Or else it would be to tight.

I bought the parts out of the hobby shop and they dont seem to be factory team/rtr specific. I purchased a new diff gear as well as a rebuild kit. Is spacing the sun gears really the fix? As is sits right now I believe my diff is the same as what my old truck was besides lightweight outdrives.
